i have a 96 coupe with the d16y8. got greddy evo cat-back and aem filter. i was wondering at what rpm should i launch? i got yokohama avid touring tires on 14inch donuts. any sugestions?

 

Between 3k-3.5k

5k or 5500

 

it really depends on your tires, if they have shitty grip you might have to go low . . i can launch pretty high with my falkens because they grip like a motherfuck

 

launch higher than 3.5k if you can feather the clutch

 

i own the same car with similare upgrades , ive tried launching all over the tach and found my fastest times are when i launch under vtec( even though it feels slower due to wheel spin) im hitting 16.5 in the 1/4 so id love to know what your running basiclly my fastest time is when launching just under the redline, while feathering the clutch just slightly You will experience aggresxsive wheel spin but dont shift untill you reach 60' or you'll be under the cam change in 2nd!
