What is a spool???
its a solid diff essentially... with a stock diff... the wheels basically spin when they want... with an lsd... it locks the wheels in case one spins but during turns it will release one to make turning easier... a spool locks both wheels at all times... it is one solid piece... so when u make a turn... u are draging one wheel around in the turn
pro-drive, mark williams and a couple other companies make them... dss is in the process of makeing them

Not a clue for hondas

Makes it really hard to turn, but you get a ton of grip, don't have to re-build it like an LSD, and no noisy gears like with a detroit locker.

so spool would be perfect for a rwd drift car?
would it help with handling at a road race or anything for hondas?
I can't imagine how a car would drive with the differential locked all the time. It's like having a solid bar from one wheel to the other.

what about an lsd that makes kind of a grinding noise when i am going slow and turning, and is a little less noisy when I am going faster in a turn. just sounds really bad when I am at a stop and have to make a turn from the stop. Its a jdm b16 lsd supposedly.
