Well its pretty much stock motor what were you expecting?..Those mods you have done have probably added 10hp if you are lucky.Fastest ive seen a coupe with a b18b IHE go was 16.8..and the guy was a pretty crappy driver. Practice your launching a little bit and you could probably knock a few 10ths off.
my friend with his 95 civic ex coupe w/ intake also hit 15.8 too. i know there is something wrong with the car. i know i need to practice on my launching too but i know is more of the motor then me. i launch at 3k and take it to 7k rpm every gear. i am not that good of a driver but i'm not that sorry.
well the car seems normal with those numbers to me. You need to get your 60ft down and lighten it up. Im assuming you were on street tires and what rpm did you launch at? Were you spinning or did you bog off the line? Theres lots of variables that could effect your run too. Elevation, track conditions etc. But the numbers dont seem to far off from what i would expect from a pretty stock ls.
nothing wrong with your car.
look at your setup again. LS motor, making maybe 140hp to the wheels.
With the car and you weighing maybe in the 2400lbs range.
check out your 60ft too. Desired 60fts for cars on slicks are around 1.7-1.9s, pretty much sub 2.0s
IF you're on street tires, you can get it as low as 2.0 60fts. 2.4 is really not that great.
calculate that on one of those hp, weight, 1/4 mile calculators and you are where you should be at.

"It's your fuel map, it's got a nasty hole. That's why you're unloading in third. I lengthen the injector pulse another millisecond, just tune the NOS timing you'll run NINES!"
Operator error?? JK
Just keep practicing. You will not see a drastic change with your current setup. You need more/better mods, more seat time, and tuning then the numbers will improve
