What am I doing wrong here?
I know this seems like such a basic question, but what in the world can I do to lower my 60' times? The best I did last night was a 2.37, and tripped the lights @ 14.97 @ 93.82mph. I know if I could just get my 60' down to a 2.2 or so, I could get lower than that. I'm not spinning too much off the line, but I just can't seem to get them down any. As the night wore on, my 60' got all the way up to 2.65, but my mph got all the way up to 93.98. I'm just a bit frustrated, I guess.
try feathering the clutch a bit off the line instead of dropping it. and maybe also trying different rpm's to launch at. 3k is going to be a good starting point assuming that your running on street tires.
just keep hitting the track every friday night... you will get there.

You just need track time. Try about 18 psi. You need some wheel spin so you don't bog. I used to get very frustrated, and still do some what with my times and launches. If I had my old 91 civic 4dr lx ( zc and 50 shot) I'm sure I could pull 13's now. back then I ran 15.0 at best in the high 90's. Just practice and experiment, shoot for 2.2 60's
Im also a newb at the track
act 6 puck cm lighten flywheel Falken Azenis 205/50/15
R/T 1.163 yes lol!!
60 ft. 2.617
330 ft. 6.783
1/4 15.478
mph 92.04
launched at 3000!
I was talking to a few ppl over there and they ran like 14.7 -.9 with stock tires, but once they got some Azenis and Escta supras 712s they run 15.3 at best! Are these tires tat bad for the Strip?
