vtec problem... any idea's??
So we started playing around with our street car getting it ready for the dyno. Unfortunately after we started doing some pulls we noticed vtec isn't engaging. Did some simple tests checked oil pressure off the back of the block came in at about 60psi, checked the line that came up to feed the head, and we got 60psi there too, checked at the oil pressure at the pressure switch and got nothing, even when we manually triggered the solenoid.... we manually triggered the solenoid so see if that was working it clicks and open's we get volume but don't get any pressure from the 10mm port at the front of the head either, from what i understand we should have at least 50-55 psi. we opened the head took out the cams and checked for all the rocker pins, and they all seem to be there. I'm completely stumped with this car, anyone got any idea's
Some info on the car b18b sleeved w vtec head comp stage 2 cams, vtec worked last year before we changed the cams, the head was not removed. we replaced all the AN lines to ensure none of them had collapsed...

If the head is fairly new and you tapped it for vtec there can be trash in the screens of the vtec solenoid... it happened to me and cost me a lot of time on the dyno..
motor was run 2 seasons already, we tried changing the solenoid, pres.switch, and the whole unit, same results screen was clear, no shavings or build-up at all
