Default Updating harnesses

As I understand, harnesses should be renewed every two years. Question is....will companies like Simpson renew or recertify their belts upon inspection (rather than replacing)?

If you send your old ones to simpson's they give you a whooping 5% towards the purchase of new ones.

I think stroud will recertify it for you. Depending on the manufactor you need to contact them to see what they'll do for you. Every company does something different.

I have some Stroud camloc for sale is you need some for the nopi race coming up.

I dont remember exactly how much, but Deist was only like $45-60 to recertify their belts.

Thanks guys. I was thinking about buying a used set of simpson harnesses. However, they were out of date. I knew the harnesses life expectancy was two years. But I hoped to recertify. I just wanted to cover all the bases before the purchase.
Pulling out of the sale.

Its cheaper to have them recert. I use the cam lock belts which cost a little more than the latching style. Crow is the cheapest and fastest, and they change everything but the latch.

But it is not worth buying out of date belts and getting the recert. Just buy them new and ask about the recert policy when you buy them. You will be back in 2 years!
