My car was stolen from Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove Wi, Friday August 3rd.

-The owner had no care to my vehicle being stolen and even the cops asked me why he was acting suspicious. He lied to a cop whose been there 3 times this year on stolen vehicle reports by saying "its only happened once before." Why are we paying extra to get into the pits if its not even any safer than being out in the field they call their "parking lot"


Anyways i wanted to post this to kindof inform people and let me know if anything suspicious comes up. If you want a parts list please P.M me. lets stop this theft bullshit, this was my first car i built and 6 years later some scum is rippin around having a blast.

Anything suspicious that leads to an arrest will be rewarded! Depending on how much is retreived we have a $5000 reward.


This message was to ask for help but mainly to make people aware of theives out there, they arent going away so we have to protect ourselves. Dont expect the dragstrip, especially Great Lakes Dragaway, to have video or announcements to help you because they couldnt care less.

For those who havent, rig up a kill switch, get an appraisal, take your steering wheel, do whatever you can because it can happen to everyone, i really wish i would have listened before. Thanks for your time

My friends drag bike was stolen a couple years ago from a dragstrip. Thief got on it and rode it right out of the pits and down the road while my friends were trying to chase him down. They had many good leads, which lead to one guy, but not enough evidence to pin him with it. Months down the road the frame was recovered on the side of an interstate in southern NC.

Get the word out as much as you can, as you are already doing. Hope something positive turns up for you soon.

How was it stolen? Were the keys in it at the dragstrip? Did they take it by force? Was the vehicle left there overnight?

This is total BS! I have usually trusted people at our local dragstrips and always thought there was a mutual respect amongst racers and race enthusiasts. I guess I was wrong...

I wish you the best and hope the low life that stole it winds up as bubba's cellmate.

Post as much info about your setup as possible so we can all keep our eyes out for a possible part out thread...

This sucks to hear man. I couldn't imagine this happening to me. It really kind of sheds a new light on theft prevention methods since I was actually up there at that event on Saturday. Didnt seem like there was any kind of security there at all when we got here at like 8am.

Best of luck with the recovery. Maybe posting some pictures if the engine bay will help also, no?

I have both sets of keys and the doors were locked. The windows were cracked on the top a little bit to keep the windows from fogging. I even had the lock lever on the inside of the door pannel dis engaged so you couldnt reach in and unlock it, he must have ripped the window all the way down or something im not sure..there was a witness that saw someone ripping the window down but thats all i know.

I saw my car at 10:50 pm while watching my buddy mess with his boost by gear to run his car. He goes out to do the last run of the night so we come back around 11:00 and the car was gone. took the thief 10 minutes to be in the car started and gone, took the cops over an hour to get to the track. no wonder why people steal..

sorry to hear... this is the 2nd honda i've heard of getting stolen at great lakes dragaway.

what sucks is cops don't care. i had a customer come in once with stolen parts in his car (he didn't know they were stolen) when he found out they were stolen, he had the info and address of the person he bought the parts from (craiglist) and when we told the cops about the situation, they literally gave a little less than 2 *****...

Been there bud, good luck finding it...... my first boosted teg got stolen at the tracks too...... Stealing at the track is becoming more and more common.... If a shop in that area has a shaddy rep, you can bet whats left of your car is there

Damn this sucks to hear.....my boys laughed at how paranoid i was with my turbo car I refused to walk away from it for more than 20 seconds for that exact reason...its not the racers who likely took the car but some jealous spectator who was plotting on any vulnerable civic they could find.....the problem is its exactly like being at the movies, they know once certain brackets start racing you wont be anywhere near the car and with so much noise going on your not going to hear alarms etc,...think about it, its the perfect place to steal a car with a ton of money into it & the owner is never expecting it to happen there of all places....smh

That's how they stole it so easy, your window was cracked. I've seen it done to my own car in 30 seconds from a guy helping after I locked my keys in the car. NEVER leave your window cracked. EG and EK's are super easy to break in to.
