Default trying to run a 9 on the mountain

i have been trying to better my times for years now.... currently im on a 24.5in m/t with an ls transmission car makes 725 corrected 605 uncorrected on the dyno jet at PFIspeed in ft. collins co... i control boost via time based 5 stage controller on the prologger i have my s300 datalogger set to start at the same time my boost controller starts so i can view wheel spin and such my slip breaks down pretty good im just wondering if these front half times are going to cut it

on sunday i dialed it in ok and got this slip

r/t .214
60' 1.737
330 4.707
1/8 6.946
mph 114.95
1000 8.799
1/4 10.33
mph 147.44

today i got this one after i pulled power out of first gear and dropped tires to 7psi my clutch let go shifting into fourth i have a new one i have been to lazy to change it

r/t
60' 1.685
330 4.627
1/8 6.777
mph 120.06
1000 8.649
1/4 10.501
mph 114.54

i just need to know if the second slip looks like it was on its way or if i need to do some more tuning on the low end any help or suggestions would be helpfull

yeah it looks feasible , but you definitely need to figure out how to drop your 60ft and everything else will definately fall in place.

yea tire pressure is at 7 before burnout and im leaving at 7200rpm on 2-7lbs of boost. and i have boost on the gate (1bar) through first gear and the timing at 16 degrees in first gear. the tires are pretty newish and i recently had an alignment. i want to get some better struts and bushings but thats gonna have to wait till winter. what does the average 9.8-9.99 cars slip look like on the front half?

also when you had the alignment done were u in the car?. I ask this because everything changes when u sit in the car. Many people make the mistake of zeroing everything out when they get an alignment and wonder why their car won't 60ft cause they didn't compensate for the suspension travel from the weight transfer from the frt to the back of the car. i won't tell you how to setup your suspension but i can point you in the right direction. The next time you go to the track have someone take a decent camcorder that has a slow motion option and have them zoom in on the front of the car fender and tire area and focus on the camber and caster change upon launching the car off the line. this way you go over the video in slow motion and make alignment adjustments accordingly. i'm an alignment tech by the way and use to work for big o tire.

You should be able to run 9.8s with 120 mph in the 1/8 mile. Just need to improve on 60ft time.

on the second breakdown the 60 isn't bad bud the 330' needs improvement. either a slow 1-2 shift or it's spinning fairly good. I went 1.64 60' and 4.30 330' on low boost using boost by gear through hondata.

there's 2 things that i can think off when u say your camber is off. Do you have a camber kit?. If not i would look in to first overhauling all the bushings with a energy suspension kit. the other problem could be that you have a bent frame or upper or lower control arm. you can have a competent body shop check the whole frt end.

Do you know if the car has ever been in an accident? With camber numbers that different side to side, it makes me wonder.. One of my EF's was in a pretty severe accident before I owned it and the right side camber was just off all together.

Like someone else said too, old bushing can be the culprit.. since the upper control arms are such a pain to dig in to on the ef, its likely they may have never been changed, and could be causing the issues you are seeing too.

24.5 MT..boost in first was 15psi and second was 19psi
car made 550 at 15psi but i pulled 2 degrees of timing in first to calm it down. my car has also been corner balanced and is setup fairly good. I think I spend more time with data then I do running the car lol. I had my old stock motor setup running 10.3's all day on 498whp. start with power low run off the wastegate and dial it in then start turning it up. you'll get it there it just won't happen overnight.
