time starts when the beam rejoins or when your tires leave the last staging beam....
mph is determined by two beams one just b4 the 1/4 and one right at the 1/4 mile (not sure of actual distance, someone else can clarify for me ~60ft???) MPH is then determined as an average speed between the two lights (i believe)
