What about A/C clearance? My compressor is touching my front crossmember on deccelleration in my B16 rex. I spaced it once, I am going to pull it off and beat the hell out of the member now, but I would rather buy one that fits??????
I was just thinking about "wheelee" bars for FWD. Seems to me they would be a BIG help, ESPECIALLY if you preload the hell out of them. You can effectively put hundreds of pounds of additional force on the front tires by doing so. I'm surprised more of you guys don't use them... as long as you don't mind being laughed at. That'll stop as soon as you beat everyone...
Preload is not allowed per NHRA/NIRA/IDRC
From NHRA:
"3:6 Wheelie Bars
All wheelie bars, regardless of class, must have non-metallic
wheels (i.e. rubber, plastic). Wheelie-bar wheels must turn freely at
starting line; any preload prohibited. Wheelie bars must be fixed.
Hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, etc. or any adjustment or
movement during run prohibited. Using wheelie-bar wheels as "fifth
wheel" sensing device prohibited."

I just got my set of these bars today. I loved the design in the picture, but when I saw them in person...they were even better. They use only the top quality parts and metal and have one of the best designs I have seen to date. I recomend these and the other parts being made by Jim as they are well made thought out peices. Everyone needs to know as well as getting a great part, they are getting great service from a super nice guy as well.....Mike

Art, you and everyone are going to love these bars. I was shocked at how good the quality is. The crossmember is overkill at .095 chromoly steel. The welds are to die for. I sent pix to ffgeoff and he wants to market them. How's that for an endorsement from the designer of the Z-10 bar?
pics aren't working on the website. Why are the crossmembers not recommended for street use?
EDIT: got the pics working
