Why does it take so much more power to run lower times with a turbo car than a all motor car?

 

I hope I say this right, If not then help me out. I have worked with alot of racer's in my time with turbo's, when you have to much Boost you break the slicks loose, so what I tell the racer is control the boost, drop the pressure down and what happens lower et. Don't bag me if I am wrong. John@M&H

 

Look at the trap speeds on turbo vs. all motor.

 

is it because turbo cars dont get traction? 215 whp is good for low 12s on slicks for an all motor car.
