After cutting the block, check the piston-2-deck and buy a headgasket accordingly. After everything is cut and measured you'll just have to do the math what size gasket will give you the CR you want.

Check everything above the leaks. Cam seals, distributor o-ring, vtec solenoid, valve cover, and cam plug. Its probably not a headgasket at all.

Note: What does this have to do with Drag Racing?

my tuner said he torqued them to 72lbs is that enough? do you think thats the reason for the oil coming out of the corners of the head?

be sure your dowel pins are in and the head isnt moving on the headgasket. Moving to tech

edit: nevermind drag car soo....ehhh ill leave it

When i used ARP i always went to 72 but I personally like GE's head studs better

I'm also reusing my arp headstuds but I cannot get them loose outta the block. I was told to lightly screw them into the block until they stop then leave them there don't tighten them. Is it ok that my studs are currently tight in the block?

Have the head milled and check the block for straightness.

I'm assuming this is on a B-Series..

OEM Honda gasket (if 81-82mm)

Golden Eagle MFG gasket if overbore, as they use OEM gaskets.

Golden Eagle MFG studs to 90 ft/lbs, have never had a problem. Make sure to follow their advised procedure in torquing and 1/2 turn back-off at 50 ft/lbs *3* times, yes it matters.

as i advise you and your crew befor, search for another mechanic and tuner.

i have been running OEM head gaskit, ARP stud and made 900+ whp without any problem and you know my car and my garage .

but, it seems you like to deal with biggener mechanics and dumb tunners to avoid paying more for a good mechanic and tuner.

good luck.
