Hi, Are they necessary? By the way I'm only running the one in the driver side the other was removed due to charge pipe clearance.

Isn't a D.D. but is used at least 3 times a week, with a good amount of abuse. I like to remove this one for clearance, to custom build a second Timing belt tensioner.
