noticed a tiny hole on my manifold yest. . its pretty small. . same size as this ~> # <~ noticed that the leak is causing the car to hit boost quicker. . . i need advice on the best way to fix this. . i cant afford to buy a new one. . anyone else had this problem? ?

 

if that happen to me and u say its the size of -> # just put a dot of weld on it .you think its a idea?

 

you need to weld it.

 

Are the Rev-Hard Manifolds cast? Or tube style? Cause if it's cast you can't just grab a MIG welder and expect to use that.

Why can't you? Wire brush that **** and drop some weld on it.

What i would do is clean it very good. then preheat it, then tig weld it.
you shouldn't have a problem.

 

Cast and standard MIG wire won't stick worth a damn. In my experience, if you can find a nickel wire it works a whole lot better. I've welded up more than a few DSM stock turbo manifolds that were cracked, and stadard wire feed or MIG welder just doesn't stick.

yea im gonna need to weld it somehow. . hole is like this size ~> O i bet if i told revhard they would tell me to ship it to them and maybe send me a new one? ? but thats downtime i dont have another car to use right now, but i am lookin. . maybe it will be ok to drive on for now, then pick up a new car, send out this manifold, get the new one (hopefully) and ill be ok.
