B-Series EGT people, how is your wire routed?
And what I mean by that is...
The #3 runner is the one that was recommended to me to put an EGT probe into being the hottest. Understand that.
But what I'm having trouble grasping is how to run wire and make it look good or make it invisible while still saving it from damage by keeping it from touching any hot engine stuff. My manifold and hot side of the turbo will be ceramic coated to hold some of the heat in, but...
Because, lets face it, the probe and wire are ugly. I was thinking about welding the bung in on the bottom of the manifold and then running the wire that way but I'm afraid of room.
Is there anyone out there with the wire on the bottom instead of the top of the manifold?
For those with the probe on the top of the manifold, how do you keep the wire from touching anything? Have you made it look good?

Originally I wanted Defi, but whose got that kind of skrilla hanging around waiting to burn... so I'm buying the Autometer Phantom EGT kit.

I welded it in the underside of the #3 runner. Its an Autometer probe which I picked up for about $90 at Summit. It works as well as I expected; its really not all that visible or ugly, but then I'm not into bling...
