Just curious as to what everyones thoughts are about the New BOTI schedule...

last year had more BOTI events here...

I love it...well balanced, and no need to swing from the East to the West and back East again, for a West coast finals. Nice "virgin" markets too, which my sponsors will simply love!

 

I dont think that we are going to have an All motor class @ Nopi so I am glad to see that at least at a few races on the east we will

Starting so late does kind of suck, but at least someone is stepping it up for the west coast.

yeah thrilled... it was just pumped up that we would be so pleased with the schedule.... there were more races last year for BOTI here...

but hey whatever at least we have something! and i'll be there at as many as i can.

 

It is good if you look just at BOTI, well made about 50/50 both coast

 

i think the schedule looks good. a lil late on the west coast swing, but its okay. i feel sorry for the guys in the middle of the country midwest to southwest....Good thing IFO is stepping up in that area.

yeah its a little late.. i guess i'm going to have to fumigate my car when july comes around to kill the 50 black widows that are going to make a home in it....

 

Loving the schedule! Very well thought through!

As far as west coast events, it's about the same amount of west coast events as it was last season minus bakersfield, but we got woodburn now so it evens out. I will be attending all of the west coast events. And maybe 1 east coast, we will see.

 

it would be good to see famoso raceway back in there!!!

yeah i agree.. especially since it was so packed last season....

 

I wish they had a midwest race.

we are working on famoso. they were used to having us as their finale. when we told them were comig back, they assumed that it would be the same. when they heard that we wanted another month, it threw them off. right now, they are planning their annual year end banquet and preparing to shut down for xmas.

but, we do have plans to get back to famoso. c'mon, we love the smell up there also! just hang tight. we didnt want to wait and hold up the rest of the schedule.

we miss our midwest event as well!

if you know rt66, you will know they have a oval track adjacent to the drag strip. in 2006, their board of directors voted to use the oval track much more and decided to use the annual sept boti date. it seems that monster truck type events make more $$. well, they want to prove their theory right in 08 as well. maybe in 09!

well...this is part one of the 3...we have the schedule....now lets see the rules and the sponsorship/advertisement/payouts!

 

I really hope they get Famoso into the schedule cause as it sits right now we have one Socal event. It makes me miss the events that we had at Palmdale, even if it was a crappy track I hope IDRC is still going to have their drag events!

 

Don't you think that your schedule conflict with the three races will hurt BOTI and NOPI both, or are you thinking that no one is going to race nopi. NHRA has done this in the past and it was a lose lose situation. Thats not good business marketing in my opinion. NOPI's schedule was out over a month before you released yours BOTI schedule, so why schedule two races on the same weekend, that makes racers choose only one series and hurts everyone. Now with NOPI seeing your schedule they will probably schedule the Las Vegas race and the Pomona race on the same dates as BOTI races which srews up your schedule. I hope there is about 75 new pro cars coming out this spring so that we can have a chance to put 8 cars back in one class. Sponsors don't want to see one or two cars racing each other, they want to see a field of 16 cars battling it out. Just tring to save sport compact racing!!

Fact of the matter is even if they were NOT on the same weeekend do you really think that racers of the West will travel far East and vice versa? Probably not. And lets face it, there wont be 75 new pro cars coming out this year. BOTI has planned it out so that you can race on the East, then on the west.

Look at the month of August! There is a race every single weekend.

i feel ya man...hopefully this schedule can add a race in texas. i think this is a great schedule but out of respect to texas give these guys a race. theres a cool track right outside sanantonio that had a good track. idrc went there a few times. maby they can get battle in. i like that track . but nopis schedule sucks a fat 1.

 

I would love to go out to Tx. to race.
