Default switching to DIS???

I see alot of people getting rid of the distributor and switching over to DIS..... is there any advantages to this? Also could it be possible to do it with a AEM ems?

There is a benifit to switching to a DIS system. You would be able to run 1 coil per cylinder to allow for more spark under heavy boost or nitrous. I don't know if the EMS will support DIS. I nver looked into it yet. I'm sure it can as the EMS can pretty much do anything you wnat.

yes the ems is fully capable of coil on plug.. i have installed such a setup on a number of cars. it works wonderfully. 600hp with a 0.030 gap on some denso ik24 plugs with no missfires at all. we used an aem cdi and 4 motor cycle style coils.
