I know this is off topic, but I need to order 4 supertech valves asap. Is there a dealer that lists them individually that I can order from today or stocks them individually? Or do I need to get them from supertech?
Thanks,
Chas

We have used them on our race cars, recommend them to customers and currently in our daily driven, pump gas, stock sleeve 10 sec car.
Please contact the respective dealers up top for the individual valve.
I guess it's just a coincidence that numerous people on the board had the exact same problem where valves were breaking at the stem and yes people have been using them for sometime now but this has happened recently from like a new batch of valves. The valves were brand new and were installed a day before the race and failed.
dont always assume its the mfg of the valves, alot of times other mechanical parts can break valves off the stem. take it like a grain of salt. we have seen all valves break.
supertech has been nothing but successful in reliability and performance for over 8 years ive been using them.
we have used everything from rev, si, ferrea, del west, to supertech. we have not seen a reliability issue with all of them. they are work great, imo the machinist is usually are at fault.
you and your machinist have to be very methodical about tolerances and clearances. most cams and rocker profiles or lma dont even fit the bill but what usually breaks first is the valve.

Have not had an issue yet ( knock on wood ) , we have also seen some supertech valves kiss each other or the piston and bend, none have broke. Pulled a head today and four valves kissed the piston but didn't break.
that would deffinately be a mechanical clearance issue. lol
correct me if im wrong. most of which breakage happens are when things are not set up properly.
v2v, v2p, spring pressure, installed spring height, valve stem clearance, valve stem installed height, spring seat, valve tip height to rocker, rocker lash, cam profile to piston design, even piston rocking in the bore can cause and issue. there is a whole lot of stuff going on in the cyl head most of which all moving parts are associated with in a engine. not to mention moving at over 11,000rpms and sound harmonics play a role. its crazy what you cant see. dont ever assume your **** is fine or close.... if you hear those words from your machinist you better double check your ****. its gotta be perfect.
lubricants also play a major factor in valve longevity
