Stock LSD
I got my gsr tranny back last week from getting the quaiffe installed and somehow only 3rd and 4th gear works now. So I installed a spare jdm b16 with a factory LSD for the meantime. How much power can these hold on slicks? Is it a timebomb or can it live for a little while without wheel hop?

When Allen broke his qauife he put in a ITR tranny and went back to the track the next day. He broke the diff on his 2nd pass. His car is pretty hardcore on the drivetrain because of the wieght I believe, but that experience might still help you decide if you should run it.
Never owned an LSD . ? though . I just bought a brand new 98 Type R . Installed it last night . Are the wheels surpose to spin the same way ? Cause mine don't , they still spin the opposite direct when spun by hand off the ground with it in gear .

I've heard 450WHP for ITR LSDs on slicks, i'd assume they are the same LSD, maybe not though.

I think that is right. Someone else will know better though. I have a somewhat OT question thats not worth starting a thread about. If I snap an axle can I drive home with the LSD and one axle?

we broke a few itr lsds while the qauife was away, now we have a spare. The killer to the itr diff is wheel hop. When we did those passes the first wasnt too bad on wheel hop but the second was crazy wheel hop. You can still drive the car if you break the diff the way we did but when turning it makes some grinding noises
i belive that allens car is close to 2900 with him in it.

my car hasn't granaded it yet with 2890lbs and 7000rpm launches on 26" slicks.it has made over 70 passes now.i'm upping the power now and i can't afford a quaife,so i guess we will see what it can do.

I don't believe that the Quife and Kaaz diff is at fult, its gotta be the person who installed it.

hmmmm....... i guess Tony from jotech(when he worked there) doesn't know what he is doing. And it did so well till around the end of the season when we had put almost 10k on a 500whp street driven car.
