Default staging brake

ok so my race car will still be driven on the street rarely. and im wondering if there is a way to close the flow going from the stock master cyc going to the rear brakes? therefore allowing me to use a staging brake on the track but change it when im on the street. THANKS

I know a lot of domestic guys use a Line Lock for that purpose, but I have yet to see one used on a import. Maybe that's a option for you??

I have been wondering nearly the same question. Does anybody use a linelock solenoid for launch control? I've been pondering this for some time now...

Plenty of imports use them.

They have units that you just plumb in line with the rears. The brakes work like normal and fluid goes through them. When you pull the handle back, it then just works the rear brakes. Nothing needed to fab up, just buy the correct one.

Like Mike said, I believe you just buy 2 line locks and plumb them to each rear brake and wire them to the same switch.

Call NRG Tech and they can take care of you.

Or Mike Laskey at, well just read his post.

in that first link you posted rota92 under cnc brakes is the inline hand brake. i think thats the one Mike is talking about.

seems easier to use than ebrake for burnout/staging...

your car already has a staging brake, in between the seats.

I always use mine and it works great, preload with it, drag the brakes to the second stage bulb, drop and go. Pretty simple i thought, and cheap!

i'm setup the same way. brake pedal only uses the front brakes. then the rears are hooked to a CNC staging brake with its own reservoir.

I think he means no brakes on the rear. The chute works good, but most peope still use alittle pressure on the front brakes.

I'm in the same boat looking.

A direct link to the part would help a lot. It would seem I am gameless at finding those items on those sites.

Here's a direct link to a staging brake.

On my blue hatch (13.8 sec car) I didn't even know my rear brakes were shot, and didn't work, until I started trying to use the e-brake to stage. I was driving it for almost a year, and thought the brakes kicked ***... all I had was fronts.

Found this image at the chassis shop. Is this like the opposite of what we need? For whatever reason, I'm not wrapping around this accurately.

vector,

That diagram is for a RWD car so you just need to change the label from front brakes to rear brakes and vise versa.
