Default Speedometer Problem

I am having a problem with my speedomoeter not working. It was working fine and during a pass last race it stopped working. I changed vehicle speed sensor with a new oem one and it still doesn't work. If any of my dash light come on the has a pulsation in them. I tried changing the VSS fuse and it still doesnt work. I need the speedomoeter for my 2 step to work. I plugged the old vss sensor into the connector and started the car and spun the gear on the sensor to see if the speedomoeter would move and it doesnt. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I am trying to make the IFO race this weekend

Pull the plug out and take a look at it. Sometimes the pins corrode, or break off, and cause issues.

Ok today I changed the connector for the VSS and it still didnt work. After troubleshooting some more I figured out the problem with the lights pulsing on the dash. I had a diode leaking in the alternator. Changed the alternator and the dash lights are good now but still no speedometer. I connected my laptop to the aem and the aem is not reading the VSS also. Im wondering since the alternator and VSS are on the same fuse could the leaking diode have possibly burnt out the new speed sonsor?

obd2 car it seems? i had a problem on my EK where the wire harness was rubing on the intake manifold bracket on the bottom/backside. you may look into that. fuse #15 kept blowing, the VSS wouldnt work and there was a pulsing. i just pulled the harness down and wrapped it in electrical tape
