If so I talked to you before in seattle alone time ago

What i need help on is the igintion timing it saids something about setting the crank shaft at 45 degree BTDC then setting the distibutor at factory setting witch i belive is 16 degrees +-2. I dont understand y?

Also This is on a race car so if you do have a Base map of some sort then could you help me out cause we are trying to get the car started up before woodburn.
