SO who's all jumping classes?
Well, after sitting back and watching all these people getting upset in the hotrod class....who's and how many ditching their hotrod prepped car to go for the SFWD and turbo4 classes? That damn street class is getting pretty popular now huh
I'm just wondering, cause I thought about ditching my current car right now(which is not complete)to build one for the SFWD a few times...But I think about all the work I've been putting into the hotrod car it'll hurt me to sell it. a lot of hours have been put into that thing.
SO who's jumping into what classes and who's gonna tough it out?

it's in pieces right now.....I'll snap some pics this weekend when I'm off
what took me so long is cause I sold my old setup for my new house...motor, car, management, everything.....I had to start from scratch last year so hopefully it should be done once summer comes around. car went to a local guy, motor program went to dragsol on here, management went to a guy on here....turbo setup went to hipe from canada
Lo, did you ever get back with RS on the engine program?

No , I think that is a lost cause . I lost out block and money . I might have to make a trip down there .
I couldn't wait anymore so I built another motor already . I will be at DSR this weekend for dyno . Hope it holds . I will at Battle in Kent WA in a couple of weeks.
Good luck with the new car man . Step it up ..

The first time I pulled into E town and saw the GM trailer I decided to switch to
a street class. Not that my old Geo was really competative in Hot Rod but heck
I really didn't want to race in a class were I had NO chance of winning.
Things are differant in Sport FWD
For me THIS is racing.

Hey , good luck with the car and remember always have fun at it .
Be safe , and eat good BBQ at the track all the time . ha ha ..
Steve , their just another race team , don't think like that as a racer . just have fun man , do what you love and be happy . Look at it this way if your in fourth gear and your car is still running strong and they didn't pass you up yet , the race is yours ..

I've been contemplating building a SFWD car as well. I've read all of the rules and such, but what kind of times would you consistantly have to run to be competetive? I haven't found many SFWD dedicated threads talking about times/setups.

To be competitive you will need consistant high 9's to very low 10's.

On the east coast, to qualify, u pretty much need to be in the 10's. To win, ur gonna need to be in the high 9's/low 10's like he said above.
Mid West/West Coast, it seems you can qualify w/ an 11 sec car still. and win it w/ a mid 10 sec car.
next season will be tougher hopefully.

HOpefully my integra will be off the dyno this week and ready to race in Atco. My wifes T4 car will be a C4 car in the next couple weeks. We are making all the changes to make it competitive in that class.
