this will be my last year racing with the street driven project car... Coming this Fall I'll be purchasing a EG and building it as "SM Project Drag Car" for the 2005+ season... I'd like to shoot for mid 11's next year all motor so we'll see what we can accomplish.
More pictures coming when the Project Street Car comes to a final completion.

15x7 (rims alone weigh only 9lbs)

Yeah I'm pretty impressed with the wheels actually.. They looked way better in person than they did in the magazine... Paid $225 a peice for them which IMO is pretty cheap for a 9lb. rim (I was debating on the RH CP035's & TE37, but I thought why pay $100+ more for something that weights nearly the same)... I ended up buying 2 sets of these so I could mount 2 M/T slicks on two, and 2 DOT cheater slicks on the other two so everything would match whether I was on the street or track...
Here's what the car looked like last season... Not really a huge change, but at least noticeable..

Here's a few misc pics of the wheels for those that may persue these sometime...

I actually had the CP-035's in 17's a few years back.. and even those were light as hell.. Azenis tires are royal bricks..seriously.. dunno why they're so heavy..

As far as the motors concerned, I'm basically just waiting on my head to come back from Rocket... My pistons, rods, intake manifold and drag springs should arrive this afternoon, then I'll run the pistons down to the machine shop so they can match the pistons to the cylinders, etc.. I'm hoping it'll be done by the end of the month and I'll have the thing shooting down the track the 1st of Aug.. (I'm roughly a month behind.. I predicting July 4th as a completion date, but my heads taken a little longer than I expected.)

Yes its a Type R front lip thats on the car now.. Motor will still be a 1.8L (81mm bore) with 13.5:1 CR... As far as cams, I'm using RM's M22's for now...
Cant wait to hear more info about the car, will this car be daily driven with 13.5:1 compression. I am also building an all motor 1.8L coupe. never thought to go that high with the compression.
Daily driven to an extent.. I don't drive the car every day because I have another car that I use for that...though I'll be driving the car here and there as well as back and forth to the track... 13.5:1 is WAAAY to high of compression to drive every day with gas prices at about $5 a gallon or more (gotta use race gas 24/7 with the high CR..). I origionally planned on only going 12.5:1 compression where I could get away with the 92-93 pump gas but I guess plans changed and I was given the opportunity for Import Builders to build me some custom 81.5mm super duper spec pistons so we'll see how they work out...

thats the plan for next year... The reason I've kept it a 1.8L still is because I'm trying to ackomplish a goal first with a smaller displacement that the origional time was set with (12.83 w/ a built 2/0L DC2). All I need to do to ackomplish my goal is to run 12.829 and I will have ran faster than the the above time. Why 12.83 you ask? because thats the fastest time any N/A street driven honda has went around here that I'm aware of to date... and I'm gonna smoke that :D
Next year I plan to run the same compression, bigger displacement and in a lighter chasis shooting for 11.99's or faster..
