slicks question
hi my buddy gave me some slicks (free) lol
they are 8/22/13
will this be ok with a h2b swap using a b16 tranny? or do you think it they are too small and i should run a bigger size???
Thanks

What kind of shape are they in? Since they are free, and if they are in good shape.. Id rock them til you can afford to throw money at some Sticky mickey 24.5's
yes the engine is pretty much stock with the usual bolt on's
70mm tb, 3 inch intake, kidd drag header and my 3 inch exhaust.
i know i'll move up in sizes when my head is finished being built!
as for the slicks they have lots of life left! i'll try them out and if they are not too small i'll keep them for now!! lol they are free!!

**I was on a deserted road with no cross streets and was checking air to fuel ration with my wideband and as I suspected the motor was running too lean at the top of 4th.**

maybe you will run out of gear. i have a gsr tranny and i almost ran out of gear. redline set at 8300 and finished at about 7800 in fourth. my friends redline was a bit lower and he was running b16 tranny trapped 101-102 and he had to go into fifth. both of us were running 22's.
you wont be happy w/ the 22's they are too small and they wont hook
also slicks should be thrown away after each season no matter how much life is left on them.
hey lunatic what mods do u have on your stock h22 to be getting those number, like what ecu chipped ,tune, map, vtec kick in, redline, are you using 2 step, just looking for some specs to use for my h2b steup...

if its at 8500 you might be fine. that is pretty high for an h series though. considering stock is like 7700? i took mines to 8000 rpms nothing more though.

it comes down to how much power you made. what was your redline. how fast you trapped. was it on an h2b setup too?
