Slick and wheel width ?
I plan on running 26x10x15 tire but my ? is has anyone ever tried running a 10" tire on a 8" wide rim?
I understand that the contact patch when the tire expands will be less on the narrower rim but I was wondering what width rim the majority of you run that have have 26's, I am asking because I am ready to order my wheels from bogart and im unsure of what to order 15x10's or 15x8's
Thanks in advance

you have to look at the specs of the slicks you are using. some 10" wide slicks actually require a smaller rim width. You can't assume that it will use the same width rim for the width of the tire. the best rim widht of course would be to match the manufacturers spec, but I'm sure 1/2" diff would be ok in most cases.
I dont know from the top of my head, but I believe the 26x10x15 M&H says to use an 8" rim and the M/T 26x10x15 says to use a 10" rim on theirs.
