Default Slick tips

I've searched through this forum and found some good tips on running slicks, I just need some personalized answers. I'm going to test & tune at Virginia Motorsports Park on friday night, it will be my first time on a drag strip. Will be borrowing my friend's slicks, they are mounted on his stock steel '94 Jetta rims. I'll be driving my '89 CRX HF with DOHC ZC swap, Si tranny, ZC ECU. What rpm should I launch at? Any tips for a drag racing newbie? I'm not looking to turn out super impressive numbers, just have fun and do the best I can. Gimme some tips. TIA.

Ummm, it's a 5 speed CRX Si tranny. My engine redlines at about 7100rpm.

Sorry, no, very strong clutch, not sure what, I didn't put the car together, we'll just say much better than stock, but not a racing clutch.

This sounds better than what my friend told me, they are his slicks and he told me that he launches at 3000rpm. Seemed way too low to me, I could dump the clutch at 3000 on radials and hook up alright.

I was dumping the clutch at 6000 on my b16 with drag radials and hooking really well. So 5 or 6 for your zc and slicks should be good.
