Default Slick size question??

Ok I'm looking to get some drag slicks.
But I have a question is there gonna be a big difference if I go with
24.5 by 8 by a 15" rim instead of a 13" rim?
Would I be losing traction? Run I run faster times with a 13" wheel? Or is the only thing different is that 13" wheel is smaller so little better traction and a little bit lighter?? Thanks..

With a 13 inch rim, you have more sidewall but the main thing is the weight that can be saved when switching from a 15 inch rim to a 13 inch rim. I ran 13 inch lenso rims and they were amazingly light. The less rotating weight, the better 60 ft your car is gonna have.

Thanks. But I have some rota c 8's that got oil on them so I want just gonna use them for my slicks. So instead on buyin new for my street slicks and drag just buy 1 set lol trying to save some cash lol. Also I kinda would like to have my back and front wheels match lol. Just the way I am haha. But thanks for your input. Kinda didn't think that 2" would make that huge of a difference.

the closer the weight is to its center the easier it is to accelerate.

so putting 15's on, while they might not be much heavier overall, put the weight out further from the center, making it more difficult to accelerate.

hope that helps explain it.

plus, the more sidewall the better. but it sounds like you have already made your mind up.

You will get better traction with more sidewall, but how fast is your car?
If its not that fast, then its not that big of a deal.
