We are down if there is a D-series Quick 8 class , we are almost ready with our SOHC turbo project that we have been working on. We just got the car started today , just some small things to take care of but it should be on the dyno this week. I will post some pics of the car tomorrow , shooting for 550+ on this set-up , we will see what happens !

It not to hard to make 550.We made 530 with my car on boost and 640 on the spray with the first block.Stock sleeves completely filled with concret only running coolant through the head arias 8.5 to 1 pistons, eagle rods, supertech springs and retainers, stock ports, cam, and valves. The motor held up on 33psi and 100shot for 1 dyno pull then broke on the track first time i sprayed it.We fill another block and turn the boost down it made 434hp on 23psi and still broke trannies and axles. When i ran the 10.7 i had a 1.8 60ft and sprayed it in 4th.Then the next pass it broke the block in half the same way it did the first time.
Im working on sleeving a block and trying to figure out a new tranny but dont want to get away from a d-series since i already have a twin disc that we made from my old b-series one.

I hear you this set-up already did 560hp/358tq at 30 psi . We are doing some changes to the set-up to see how the motor reacts. We also have stock sleeves so we will see how long they will last. We already have a sleeved block when this one gives. Hopefully we can test it this weekend to see what the car does. Here is a pic of our little clutch :

We have just been using the stock Si/Ex tranny with a welded diff also. We are trying out some ZC gears now to see how it works out , we get several runs out of them but what we go through are the gears , when we open up ther tranny the gears look like a 90 yr old man , with no teeth !!! lol

Thanks everyone, glad you all enjoyed the video. Hell id be glad to head down to a bigger D series race. ill see if i can swing it on my own budget but if someone that runs the event wants a video or even a DVD made of the event ill do it if they can pay for my costs im a cheap date just thought i'd throw that out there in case IFO or any other event needs some good video coverage. this D series race was made up of only 5 or six cars. the better the race and the better the cars, the more i have to work with and the better the video can be

I could see traveling to texas, or socal. But I can't afford to drive to goergia. I'd like to help IFO get an event at Bandimere. I know IFO and Jeff do not see eye to eye on the price tag though.
