It's a shift ****, finish wearing off or not it's still just a shift ****. I've never had a skunk2 **** wear on me anyways. 100 bucks vs. 30 is a huge difference. You have to admit that.

The shifter does look nice though. Does the single bend act like a Skunk2? I don't want something that sits low like the pics show in the new civic.

The spec are on the site. I've driven with the TWM dual bend (in my car) the Skunk2 dual bend (in my car) and the TWM Stage 1 with a shift extender also in my car. So I can only really comment on the TWM dual bend vs the Skunk2 dual bend. Don't know what the single bend from Skunk2 is like.

I used a DC Sport for a couple of years with a weighted ****, OK on the road, didn’t really enjoy using it on the drag strip as the syncros would complain, I absolutely hated it with a passion on track days (circuit), changing down going into fast corners took longer meaning I hit corners too fast or having to over compensate by braking early.
I switched back to stock with a bush kit, feels much tighter and precise.
Friend of mine has just done a nice modification to the shift linkage, replaced the solid linkage with a cable set up, the feel is amazing, never has issues with missed gears under load and the throw is exactly what you would want, something I will be changing in mine soon.

my friend convinced me that the stock ITR shifter combined with a skunk 2 **** works better than a B&M short shifter with a CTR ****. so I will be switching.

TWM isn't bad in price at all considering what you get. I just bought their dual-bend shifter and M1 Abrams **** for 216 shipped.

Their shifter is second to none, and their **** is the heaviest spherical shift **** you can buy without stupid engraving/etching on it like the Blox 490. I was looking into that one, but the logo really killed it for me. The Mugen is way too light and is engraved, and the ARC **** at ~150 is way too much and still too light. The Circuit Hero **** is a choice as well, but there is only one color choice, unlike the TWM with numerous finish options.

Bottom line, if you go with a TWM shifter, you will be happy.

Default Short Throw Shifter

Has anyone seen a car with the Hurst short throw shifter option? Just wondering how it differs from a standard shifter.

Exactly. I have the M1 Abrams in my V70R and it's too sick. So heavy too

I now have the B&M straight race shifter, its so short sometimes I dont know if I am in gear unless I let off the clutch, I don't like it, will go to a OEM one soon.

Then again, 88-00 Honda guys and 90-01 Acura guys are some of the cheapest people I've come to know lol. 99% are not willing to pay for quality. Skunk2 is ok, but TWM Performance is where it's at if you want the best....that's the bottom line.

As for their shift *****, that's another debate in itself. The TWM Performance Type R shift **** is heavier than the Skunk2, and the finish on my brothers skunk2 shift **** wore off after 1.5 years. I've had my TWM Performance shift **** for over 4 years and it looks like the day it showed up at my door. Again, if your not willing to pay the difference for quality, it's not my problem
Speak for your self pal! I've spent a ton of money on my car so I don't know who's cheap.

B&M straight race shifter. Shifter is precise and smooth. Using it with mfactory shifter bushings, so theres absolutely no play. Using omni power master cylinder, russel clutch line(oem rubber replacement) and clutch masters unsprung clutch. With all that, tranny shifts more accurately and my shifts are alot faster due to the shorter throw and the shorter pedal travel and my full throttle shifts are pretty fast and dead on.
