Default Shift issue...

Hey guys, I have a h2b ek hatch. Two questions. First, for some reason after running my car at the track my shifter felt funny. When i put the car in any gear it feels as if it is in neutral. The shifter will move back and forth crazy. Its effecting my third gear shist. I checked the bushing on the bottom, checked the linkage, and all the bolts that go along with it. The only other thing i can think of is when i put a short shifter in it, there was a spacer that wouldnt fit in the new shifter, didnt use it, could this be the issue? If so i will go junk yard hunting and order a diff shifter. (b&m by the way).

Also, i went 12.2 @ 107mph on 22" slicks on 13" wheels. People who were watching my car said that i was not hooking on the wheels at high rpm launches which i agreed with bc i had to launch my car at 4500 rpm to get a low 1.8 high 1.7 60'. Would going to 24.5 slicks improve my mph and drop me into the 11's with 6k-8k launches? Just see the car having alot more in it than a 12.2 if im launching at drag radial rpms on slicks.. lol. The car made 253 whp and 189 trq (numbers spiked on dyno from what i was told). Car weighs 2250 with me in it.

Any information on either would be awesome, esp the shifter issue bc i will always find out what the car does once my new slicks come in and i run it.
