the supra has 2 things on you, torque, and 6th gear.
if you gear your car right, and have the tq to carry it, it should be a good race.
a honda setup well for the quarter usually traps near redline (i say near because some are different but generally speaking) at the top of 4th gear.

with that said, if you have enough tq to carry 5th, you could probably do it.
unless you plan on running 26" tires hahaa.

we need to know a little more about your setup.

tires?
go to a gearhead calculator and see where you would be shifting and rev/mph

ya i did a 5th gear pull once on B-line hwy ( hwy that PBIR is off of) its a good 12 miles of STRAIGHT road. has some 17s with some 225/45/17s on them. i can tell u this the mani was deff glowing red i could smell the damn thing & i have never smelt it before, except when it was new. & felt heat. car had about 600hp i think at the time.

some kid wanted to race & after pulling him in 4th my buddy said 'keep going see what it will do", so i buried the tach in 4th at liek 165 & hit 5th for a good 10 -20 sec cant recall & was almost at 9,000rpm & let off. needless to say never again. . then tried opening the window & thought the door was gunna come off, scared the hell out of me ,lol
oh also had to weld some supports on my wastgate flange after that stupid stunt

but cant even imagine spray with that 1 mile is LONG

run an h series with an f series trans.. if i am not mistaken i think 5th gear will get you in the upper 180mph range at 8k rpm

Racing a mile on the street (how long to slow down?) and all you're worried about is losing and killing your engine.

Not trying to bash, just pointing it out so you can maybe mull it over.

a 24" tire and an 8k rpm redline will take you to over 200mph by the math in 5th gear with a 94-97 f series trans.

you playing with fire running 5th gear on a hard load like that though imo.

dont knwo but its gunna get hot.
why use nos when u can jsut add 5-7 psi more.

spraying straight meth into the charge pipe will help cool the air alot u wold be suprised how cool it makes the intake ( put it in where the nos would of went in), bump water straight meth , water dont burn its just to cut cost.. would be better to put he nos on the cooler everything helps.
also a full size radiator or atleast bigger than an small civic one

also i had a SETTRAB oil cooler kit that i was running with moroso oil pan. brought my tottal oil capacity up to 7.5qt. deff helped out.
selling the kit if u dont have one. got pics if your interested
