ron stahr-stahr chassis
Yeah the guy in the blue. Kinda why I posted those pics. Just in case you run into him outside the shop people know what he looks like. I wish the guy didnt burn people like he does. He has talent, just lousy business management. I think he gets in over his head and has to run to set up shop somewhere else. He also had a girlfriend at the time Michelle Morlet. I heard they got busted in an insurance scam a while back. I wonder if she's still hangin around burning people too.
Back from the dead...he's at it again
Ron Stahr lives in San Diego now and operates Drifters Garage on 420 N. Andreasen Dr., Excondido, CA
A friend whom recently became a business partner of his recommended him to me for some restoration work for my vehicle. On 11/11/15 we came up with a plan for my restration and gave him a 4k deposit and for 10 + months nothing materialized. After frequenting Drifters it appears that work goes at a snails pace on all cars and he takes on more work than he can possibly turn out with his staff.
Sometime between March and June of 2016 Ron moved my vehicle and shop without my knowledge. When his shop moved his painter remained in part of the old shop and continued to work on a very rare car for one of Rons customers and ate up 60% of the money with very little to show for it.
This really spooked me so I picked up my vehicle last Friday and demanded my money of which he said initially didn't have and then gave me a check. I plan to work with the San Diego authorities to resolve this matter this week. If you have any information you could please contact me. Based on the reviews on google, yelp and other reviews I really would hate to see anyone else go through this.

Ron Stahr is a great fabricator, but unfortunately he's a thief as well. Multiple cases in Monterey County where he took money to work cars, and never finished or gave the money back.
He was our friend (I thought), we trusted him, he screwed us. His many promises to pay back what he owes have been broken so many times, I can't keep count.
Advise from someone who has dealt with him- Don't. Don't to it. Keep your money and take your car somewhere else.
