As I was looking at a site look what I fumbled onto.....I guess its still gonna come out...
The Pro-Drag Acura RSX
It's a lot different these days and if you want to race with the best of them - you'll have to forget about daily driving your "race-car" instead building a car specifically for racing. Man I miss the old days! I started the Pro-Drag RSX program in late 2001 because I wanted to race at the top level of Import Drag Racing. I was really excited to have a very simple rolling chassis at SEMA 2001. I thought I'd be racing by 02. It's now 03 and I'll be lucky to get one race in. I'm just looking toward 2004. Most people don't even remember that I have a racecar in the works but let me assure you that it's definitely still in the works. You see when I started working on this car; I really wanted things to be the best it could be like most other racers out there. The problem was that Steph and a few others running in Pro Front Wheel Drive were having problems with some components that they were running in their cars- primarily with the transmission. Because of this I opted to develop a whole new box, which I hope will be my saving grace. Long story short I'm still waiting for the box and I've had some mishaps with some undependable people, which is holding up completion of the chassis and ultimately the car. The AEBS built motors are sitting ready and by the time you read this - I hope that we'll be another step closer to having and running the Pro-Drag RSX. Kids if you want to build a racecar start with a unibody. It will save you lots of headaches but if you're like me and want to be the hero get ready to pull your hair out once in a while. My best advice is to get everything down on paper and pay people a small partial amount of what you've agreed to and pay the rest when the work is done or when parts are delivered. And hold people to their word. If they don't come through, leave them immediately and look for someone who delivers or you'll get stuck. In my case, I hope I've made the right decisions. Only time will tell. It seems like I've got my work cut out for me now that Chris Rado, Shaun Carlson, and Nelson Hoyos seem to have things figured out. I look forward to the challenge. At times things will seem like it's never going to happen. Lord knows I've felt like this going through this project but if you believe in your dream and hold on through the thick and thin - I believe things will happen and one day I'll race this bad boy against the best of them.

i think that issue just had the sema photos when he brought the car out. I dont think aebs built the body from what i understand carisma autobody made the body. Also anyone out the with fiberglassing know how? Im looking into getting a fiberglass body done soon
I used to work for Street Weapon Composites in SD and they do all kinds of fiberglass work on imports so if you'd like a contact number send a PM
And I think you're right about Carisma because I saw a rough frame for a unibody rsx in the back of their shop when I used to deliver parts there.

You said rumor. I know RJ very well and hes one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet. I don't know anything about this rumor. It just doesn't sound like anything that RJ would do. As for the RSX its been sitting around collecting dust for like over 2 years and I know that wasn't because of RJ.
