Default Remove sway bars???

Are there any benefits or problems associated with removing the front sway bar for drag racing?

Thanks,

ZEX Man

Sway bars don't help drag racing in any way. Just weight.

We took our fronts off and the car still goes straight as an arrow, and it handles the same.

more weight on front end = more traction..... move the weight

if you have lots of hp and a tire shake problem an anti-roll bar can oddly enough be your best friend.

No sways, still getting 1.88 to 1.90 60's with 220 hp and drag radials.

sway bar is a tuning item.

for $.50 I can make most FWD Honda peglegger hook up straight, old washer trick.

If your running a LSD or Spool, the sway bar will help to LIMIT weight transfer to the rear due to the friction of the bushings.

Best test, remove/loosen endlinks and try a few 330 ft passes.

I have filled the front traction bar mounting tube with lead. Works well but is not removable later on. Something to think about.
