A Quick Simple Question...
My local 1/8 track doesnt require the use of a helmet unless you are hitting 6s or quicker...Ive decided to run at the importfaceoff in memphis next weekend and was wondering if this helmet would be good for an ameture like myself. I read the nhra rulebook and as far as i understand a snell m2000 helmet is ok. Here are some of the helmets im looking at http://www.extremesupply.com/b...2.htm

TIA and im sorry if this is a retarded question but im a noob when it comes to drag events and the rules.

thats crazy, 6s in the 1/8th are equivalent to 10s in the 1/4. if they are a NHRA track usually anything equivalent to 13.99 (8.9 1/8th) and faster require helmets.
when u go to buy it make sure its SNELL2000 so its the most up to date. i believe they are supposed to upgrade helmets every 4 yrs.
