Question for the r888 users
Really leaning towards trying a set of r888 once I wear these bfg radials out. Not a fan of the BFG's at all now. I'm looking at either the 225 50 15, which is the same size as my current tires, or the 235 50 15. Is it worth the extra 20$ a tire for the 235's(I know it's only 20$ a tire so it's not a big deal but if there isn't a noticeable difference I'll spend the money elsewhere) Sorry if this is in the wrong section, wasn't really sure where to put it.
Your making a good choice with the r888's. I swtiched from the MT 225-50-15's and they worked for about 100 miles then they were garbage. I bought a set of 225-50-15's r888's and havent looked back since. Last way longer and hook pretty good. They are not a DR but is a R compound tire. My brother has the 235-50-15's and also had good things to say about them. Cant go wrong with the Toyo r888's. Looks like your finding out the BFG are junk, i cant believe people still buy those...
Im running a 235/50/15 608whp. boost by gear. dead hooked a rolling 3rd. Probably makes 520whp-ish in 3rd.
r888 is the way to go!
BTW...that was at 32psi tire pressure.

My bfgs were fine when it made 377. Spun in first but would hold fine after that. Making 500hp is a different story lol. I've got it turned down to 14lbs of boost from 20 and now they spin in second but hook in third and fourth. Just want to give somethin else a try that will let me hook second gear
