Default pushbutton start

want ot know more about pushbotton start. have try searching but only tell how to install not how they work so my questions are as follows: when u go to start do u hold it like a ke till the motor turns over or do u just push it and let it start itself? also it seems kinda hard to understand the install and with this being my first time doing any wiring i would apreciate if some one could help me out and put it as normal and clear for me cause im have troubles understanding what ppl are talking about, last is do i need to use a key to start the car if i have a pushbutton, ignition kill switch and a fuel pump kill switch if so what else do i need to do so i dont have to use a key, car has alarm so stealing it isnt a issue thanks for all your help and understanding mike

you can take your wires off your ignition colum, and run them into switches, so that when the switches are actived, the wire will have a complete cicuit. the wire that says "ST" on the ign colum, run that INLINE to a switch to activate/deactivate it, than on the other side of the switch, run that wire to the push button, and the other side of teh push button to a 12v. this is super easy to hook up. the reason i say to put a activate/deactivte before the push button is, so you dont accidentally push it when the car is running and grind the starter on the flywheel, or if one of your friends is ****** with you or something.. who knows, anything could happen.

Qoute: car has alarm so stealing it isnt a issue thanks for all your help and understanding mike

Mikey if this car sets outside it can be stolen you wouldn't want to put some like that one a car you roll around. I really don't know if you heard or not but ALARMS DO NOT WORK. People steal cars out of closed garages these days so and alarm would mean nothing for sure.
