Default From Pro to Street classes?

It has been speculated that some drivers/builders of Hot Rod cars may be campaigning street class cars for the 2009 season due to the lack of venues for the Pro classes. Is there any truth to this rumor? Thank you.

We have a lot of them out here, they just aren't showing up to the races. I know of at least 4 new hotrod cars that are close to being ready to be raced, but extra money to finish them is really hard to come by right now.

Default not for us

the reason lisa and bruce will be driving cars for us is the cars were built to bring back out some of the old school drivers to show some of the other og's its fun to come back out and at least run run locally or depending on funding both coasts! i only hope gas prices stay down and allow us to do more traveling next year!

The way I see it, I think the last 2 years us privateers have been trying to make things work and build cars that stand a chance. It sucks we don't have the massive bankroll to build a car in 5 months but it's just the way it goes. From talking with a lot of guys and seeing updates and pics on here, if we can all get out there we should have an awesome turnout.

But I hope people aren't jumping ship if they already have a car, in order to bring it back jumping ship isn't the way to go about it.

One of the biggest problems is allot of people who built/are building/ hotrod cars lacks the experience and knowledge to compete at that level. They spend a ton of money but don't get the results needed to be a contender so they end up not racing at events.

When multiple full weight gasoline powered street cars are running faster than 3/4 of the current hotrod field the experience factor begins to really show, most of those cars/owner don't have the experience to compete at the top level of SFWD yet alone a pro class.

I completely agree, the cars that are out have an easy few tenths left in them from small tweakings and some seat time. I really can't open my mouth all that much on what I've done, but I'll make sure the right people are involved to get everything out of the car no matter what it may be.

But once again, sticking with all the money dumped into the car is a nice way to get faster. It can't get faster if it's not out there

Hopefully we'll see a return of it, if not that's fine with me. My car is coming out just how I always wanted it.
