Preload front coilover springs?
I have to raise my car up in order to fit larger slicks. If I leave the tender/helper springs in there it preloads the front spring a good bit. If I take them out I will have little to no preload. Which is preferred?
I searched and didn't come up with an answer. I can see the preload helping on the top end to keep the fender off the slick and possibly on the line to load the suspension. I can also see the preload just causing more weight to transfer to the back hurting the short times.
Any input would be appreciated. If it helps the shocks are koni's and are single stage adjustable so I can mess with the dampening some. Thanks

I would get rid of the helper spring and get a longer spring from Eibach. I think the helper spring will hurt your launch because of a weak preload.
