Default power to pump?

I have an 02 ep that I ripped out the tank to and put a 8gal cell in with the biggest inline bosch pump that wont fry my ecu from endyn, and was wondering what was the best 12amp power source?
Could I use the stock pick-up that went to the stock pump, or do I just cut those wires & go from the ignition???

Use the ecu wire to trigger a bosch relay feeding current from the battery. That way you will never have an issue.

I hope I got this right, you take the stock sending pump wire from the ecu & hook up a bosch relay & then into the pump?
Thanks for the help speeddreams!

yea...run a 10 or 12 gauge wire...i used 10 on mine...from the battery to the pump, but use a relay that is controlled by the stock pump power wire to power the relay...and put a 30 amp inline fuse on the wire from the pump to the battery...good luck...

Here's my diagram for 1000 years ago...

That was if you didn't have a factory trigger wire (from an OE ECU) to activate the pump. I normally tell people who are using their factory ECU's now to control the pump to wire the 12V+ side (85 in this diagram) to a constant, then use the FLR (ground) output from the ECU to activate the circuit (86 terminal).
