IIRC it helps prevent a mis-shift, but it does not totally prevent it.

 

not really the same.on the 1-2 shift, you hold the shifter to the left.the 1-2 gate and the 3-4 gate are very close to one another. on the 2-3 shift, you push up with the palm of your hand and it automatically pops over into 3rd and then just pull straight back into 4th. on the 2-3 shift, if you are still pulling to the left like the 1-2 shift using a dogbox, you can put it right back into 1st. i have done it already. if you just push foward with your palm, it will go into 3rd every time.

i got one they work nice but the stock brake works fine just take the button out thats what i would have done but my car didnt have a stock e brake

 

i'm running a Skunk2 ,nothing like a stock warn-in GSR shiftknob lol
