Default Permit to race?

Well after some stupid mistakes i made as a young lad.. I lost my license ..(none of them were moving violations by the way)

I just got it back... Had to start from scratch..

Took the written test 9 days ago, and now have to wait a month for my road test!! (which will be taken with Rob Mapp's "Street car"). lmaooo

But yea. As of now i have my Permit..So i won't have my license intime for Fall Nat!!

Can/Will they let me race with a permit?
(i first got my license back in 97)

i cant recall ever being checked for a license unless you look 12.

get a state ID and use that...I think you just have to be the legal driving age.

State ID here looks just like a license...

I take it you have never seen me b4 , lol

And you have never raced at EnglishTown b4?.. They require a visably valid license. My license was "visably" valid till it expired on my Birthday last Friday. I have had someone drive my car to the track with me for the past year, and i race under my "valid" license.. But it is now expired.

I guess this question should be directed to Englishtown Racers..Because on their Tech card they actually ask for your Driver's ID #

A few weeks ago i went to Tech , but forgot my "valid" license in a friend's car. The tech-guy made me drive back to the pits to get it.

u do need a valid driver s license to race at events. whether all events physically ask to check, thats a diff story

u must physically have a valid license to race at the track (any) thats a rule. whether they inforce is a diff story

the state of new jersey does require every racer to have a valid drivers license and we check for it.

Just show 'em your current "valid" and if they happen to notice it's expired you can do one of two things:
1) play stupid
2) tell them your new one is in the mail, and this one is proof it's valid
3) play stupid and let your buddy tech and "race" (yeah right) your car
4) I said two things didn't I....?

thats rediculous. a drivers license is a license to allow you to operate a motor vehicle on state and federal roads and highways. I can operate any vehicle i want on my property unlicensed so why does the private property of englishtown make you have a state license?? Jr Dragsters are faster than most friday night madness civics. lol

They claim that they won't let you go with a permit (hang out conversation with a Techie while we waited for the gates to open). I'm going to guess this has something to do with insurance (just a guess for liability purposes)

It seems you'll have to go with the guy in the trunk

....you would have had a better chance of getting away with it if you didn't blow your own spot up on HT.

thanks Mr.Obvious. lol (by the way, thanks for the 3 bar map)

Either way. The car will be there. If they don't let me race someone else from the team can drive. No biggie.

I have never actually seen my car run from outside. Should be fun. I actually want to see how straight this thing really goes. Because from inside it dosen't feel too straight after the 1/8th.

But thanks for everyone's info. I think i already know how this will play out.
