Default one last question...

****! I posted in the wrong forum... my bad guys... OPS plz move this to tech or Integra either one. THANKS and SORRY.

Hey guys... It's been real but I'm off to BMT for the Air Force tomorrow... Few things before I go.

I put the RC 310's in my car right... in case anybody doesn't know, here's the setup...

12:1 comp. LS/VTEC forged bottom end... ITR valvesprings. stock b16 cams., :-(

While the car was in the shop the 310s ran fine, tached up good and all... just never got out on the road...

I took the intake manifold off to polish it, put it back on and the car wouldn't start.
So we push started it and it idles like a 283 with a big non-streetable cam in it. lol. The battery has been moved to the back, and one time it sounded like that cuz the ground wire wasn't secure to the chassis.
So I thought I had fixed that... I ran TWO ground wires, drilled and tapped the chassis in the hatch area and put them in... did fine for a while. then tonight it wouldn't start, and like I said, push start and it sounds like something really nasty. lol.

I took it down the road and could barely get it to pull out without spinning the tires. it was idling fine tho.
so I get down the road... u know. last time I'll see her for 6 months so I NAIL it. haha it's rumblin big and at 4800 when VTEC hits the sound just smooths out and sounds like it always did... So I shift and get on it (it's no longer in VTEC) and it's rumble-rumble-rumble-woooooooooooom) same thing.

WTF is up with that has anybody ever encountered this? tomorrow I'ma get up early and see if I can't redo the ground wires and get it doing better but I just dont see why the battery ground would make that happen anyways.

ANY INPUT APPRECIATED.

Harry

Default Re: one last question... (aut0tek)

The sound kinda reminded me of a diesel with a straightpipe or something... really strange noise. if I can record it tomorrow I'll post it. I really wanna know what makes it do that and if it's bad for the engine I'm kinda thinking I may have been dieseling... 12:1 with 93 octane in the tank that is 6 months old. (I dunno if octane rating depreciates over time in the tank but u know)

Again, thanks guys. and I'll see you all soon.
