NSCRA Class Poll
If you allow DOT tires and not do a radial based class it could be a high 10 second class with a reasonable turbo limit(67mm maybe?) and keep it to a 235/60/15 max tire size. Once power street went to 26x10.5 ET street class it got a bit fast for the average street cars. Also on DOT tires there is a lot less room for error so it's more of a drivers race. Power street was the most fun class I ever ran in and Im sure some of the guys that ran it back in the day would say the same thing.
I say if you consider it I would highly suggest doing a DOT tire and not radial based. I know a lot of guys, myself included, broke a lot less on the 235/60/15 M&H tire than we did on radial based tires.
When power street and the NDRA were at their peak there were 25-35 cars at MIR and Norwalk in power street.

Throw everyone else FASTER than 11.50 and who doesnt make the class rules in TS to the OUTLAW Class
Everyone way slower than 11.50 can run brackets or set their car up proper like for Street Stock

what is the spirit of the class?my car is a street car with a 3 piece front,i also have a 10pt cage etc and i drive it on the street.these front ends need to be allowed its just silly not too there are so many now,NSCRA are you really going to turn away car counts and potential racers in the lanes over a front end that has no advantage?trust me im at every event racing and i see who shows up and how many cars show up and you would be a fool to not to allow cars runs in t/s because of a front end.just my opnion.also for the guys bitching get ready because true street will be a mid 9 second class to compete by the end of this year well it is already next season is going to be insane
Go back and read what i said in that thread, i didn't disagree with 3pc being allowed, i said it was dumb to build a car that will be illegal and then bitch about the rules hoping they'll be changed. We need as little rules as possible right now so there are no excuses for people to come out and race.
As someone said before they should keep the classes from this season and just let them grow. By changing year to year nobody will build cars. I know i will personally get a car and start racing street stock if it sticks around as a solid class.
Yeah well whatever makes u happy...I still think 10.0 will be a good class to run in!...plus theres a variety of cars in index racing and some of them run low 10's at 135 or less!
