i think we should stop the index racing at 11.50 (since thats where the cert requirments stops. (cage,scatter shield, licenseing)

But slower heads up index racing will get the 11:50 and slower racers to get a lil taste of how much fun a heads up class on a PRO tree can be.. Hopefully urging them step up to the faster index classes (ie: 11.50,10.0,9.5 etc).

I think the classes were fine this past year.

True street and 11.50 indexes had large turnouts and 10.50 is growing each time.
Adding a 9.50 index would take away from the true street cars.

The only other class i could see working down here is some sort of fwd street tire class. I know the reason a lot of the street racers dont run the events is because they dont want to cough up the money for tires. Maybe a class like that would get them to come out

61mm turbo class or a street tire class to get the budget guys out there racing in heads up classes

 

Would a 12.5 or 13.5 index class work for these guys??

 

I don't know many people who will sit and watch a 12.5 or 13.5 index class...

61mm guys can run in 10.5
You guys need to work harder on the sandbaggin problem IMO...
The index class (to me) are for the slower cars! It's not much fun to race against or watch 8sec & 9sec cars in 10.50 same goes for 10sec cars in 11.5...

no street stock? I was hoping it would return because i planned on getting a car for this class.

 

I didn't vote because Street Stock wasn't one of the choices. I can understand 11.50 index because of safety equipment but none of the other index classes make sense to me.

 

Street stock is where it's at!
