noob needs help with launch...

Default noob needs help with launch...

first off let me say hi guys....

any real help will be great and thanks for looking....

went to the 1/8th mile here and broke 2 axles...dont know what im doing wrong or do i just need to step up to dss axles

90 4 dr
stock b16 60-1 turbo making 370 on nitrous, skunk coil overs 18k back 12k front stock struts,full poly bushings all the way around,tuned on ectune with anti lag set for 8 lbs off the clutch switch,spec stage 5 unsprung and 22" slicks at 10lbs cold,b16 cable tranny with stock lsd,car has cut 1.70 60ft before the clutch went out had a act went to a spec....

Are you poping your clutch? The only time I ever broke an axle was when I missed my light and poped the clutch. Needless to say I am not launching in antilag yet...

yea im popping the clutch no way to slip it with the unsprung spec...was wondering if anyone has tried to hold the e brake and slip it a lil...if i try to slip it the car wont any lag due to it being on the clutch switch...maybe i can put it on the e brake....

any suggestions

you are probably not putting a good preload on the clutch and are shocking the **** out of the drivetrain! i use to do the same thing to axles. i learned how to get a good preload on the clutch before launch! you could also look into a tilton flow control valve i just got one for my setup. if you wanna try to launch off the e-brake you can file all the teeth off the e-brake except for the top 3-5 teeth. this allow you to release the e-brake and not have to hold the button down as long.

sounds like breaking the axles can get expensive.

lol....yea axles do get expensive i know a guy who knows a guy....under warrenty....yea was thinking of the e brake and trying to some how take the paw off to let it drop once i let it go....and running the anti lag off the brake light switch ont the handle...dont know need to tear it apart...
and its a cable tranny
