Does anyone know if the engine has to still be transverse monunted for this transmission? Or can it be like Steph's, Jarrod's, Ed's, Lisa's, etc? If this is the case, what would the difference be between Pro FWD and Hot Rod? This seems like a really expensive proposition. Does anyone remember a few years ago when Quaife built a transmission like this? Whatever happened to that? I think that one was 15k, too. This whole rule seems to stem from the automatic's dominance of the class, and a few of the 5 speed tranny's breaking lately.

There's no 7 second front wheel drive Honda......yet. There is a 8.12 second Honda, and also a 6.90 second rear wheel drive Honda.....both driven by the same person.....wanna guess who?

This is what will make using the Lenco so expensive. The line of trannys would have to change directions to get 4 speeds plus a reverse under the hood. Not sure how the Clutchless part would work and you would probably use a Tilton with it.

Air shifting seems like the way to go with a push of a button. This will just make it so the people with the bigger bucks will have just that much more of an advantage than the underdogs.

I know the 15 thousand sounds like alot. Shoot it is alot, I know I wont be able to buy it until I graduate. But from a competitive standpoint it makes sense. If you have the chance to cath up and perhapes surpass the Gm and or Mopar teams, I feel like its worth the money. How much do you spend for trannies, diffs, clutch so and and so forth. it adds up quick. I know the money I dump into my car is insane but the rule of thumb to remember, "There is always someone faster." You built this car to go fast and have fun. Now if your trying to make a living out of it thats different. To each his own.-pete

What the whole deckplate thing sounds to me is that again like many times before GM and Mopar are getting there way. What Honda needs to do its pass some of its money into drag racing. Im sure more things would go our way if they did. If you ask me it was all about money no question about it. GM and Mopar spend big bucks so they get there way.

Vacuum Pump pulls vacuum in crank case and lets you run low tension rings, therefore freeing up horsepower.

Default Rule Changes...

I am about to go back to my street racing roots pretty soon because the "issues" down here at the local track and a few others are starting to urk me. I broke 12s my first time down at the track and was ushered away because I broke NHRA rules (breaking 12s without a 6pt roll cage) now I hear about needing a full 10/12pt anything under 11.667s (weird number) Last thing my bigass needs is more metal between me and the car, it is getting clastrophobic. Maybe I should have gotten a bolt-on instead of a weld cage...
