Default Next step?

I've been running my 90 CRX with B16a1- I/H/E and 75-shot of NOS in the high 13's. Just bought slicks and was wondering what you guys think my next step should be to get to mid to low 12's? Here's my last timeslip(right Lane#205)!

What header are you running? What size slicks? I dont think slicks will get you all the way to 12's...

Edit: 13.7 to low 12's is a H-U-G-E jump for a B16a

In order to get into the Low 12s, your 60' needs to be in the 1.7 to 1.6 sec. Practice launching. Work on your suspension setup. You can do it! Good Luck.

That run was on my street tires. The slicks are 24x9x13 Goodyears.

I'm running a DC Sports 4-1 Header and I know that low 12's would be hard but just want to see a 12.?? (.99 would work but looking for a .75 at least)

Those slicks are kinda big, but regardless...

Run open header.
Run a bigger shot.
Use those slicks.

If I were you I'd build up a 1.8+L bottom end for nitrous, and then throw it back into the car and up the shot big time. Also get a better header, and keep throwing mods at the motor and suspension.

i'd say try some 22 or maybe 23 x8's. I don't think you have the power for those slicks just yet.

I'd practice launching. Your 60' times should be WAY down. You are only trapping 98mph. Aint gonna get 12's with that.

I'm in the right lane, trap is 104.845 and 13.7 on street tires!!

Whoops. Well your traps are there for atleast low 13's, get some slicks and pull 1.8's and you are there easy. High 12's should be there after practice.

I'm wondering if I got a V-AFC and had it dyno tuned if that would help maybe hit my goal for this season of 12.75?

Certainly tune it, you will gain a good bit of hp and a smoother powerband. Tuning should be looked at as the #1 priority with any race motor be it drag, auto-x, rally etc. Not only does it maximize the power that can be produced but it has a direct effect on the life of an engine.

your B16 won't be very reliable with stock pistons and big slicks. Don't even mess with a higher dose of N2o.

go with a bigger block like a 1.8 or 2.0. B16's are too weak in stock form.
