I have a basically stock Si, different Rims, and 2.5" piping, other than that bone stock. I need everyones advice on the perfect launch, what I can do to make my car lighter, that isn't that noticeable (cause my parents will freak), and wont cost money. Any help is appreciated, and if this forum could go one post without someone making a complete douchebag remark, that would also be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Start working out and loose weight.

 

Anything you do will be noticeable. I suppose you could take the spare out without anyone noticing. Aside from that, there isnt much you can do. You really arent going to be that much faster with a hundred pounds less in the car.

Well, I only weigh 150, and I am 5'11'' so, ya know, but I already have the spare tire, and jack out, what about removing the tar in my trunk, and taking the airbags out??

Yeah, and while your at it, take out your seat belts, bumper supports, and brakes. That way, if anything were to happen, you would be even more screwed.

 

Racing on the street, and not really much to show off, I mean my car either way is going to be slow as **** until it's turbo'd, or till I get some **** done to the engine, but I'm going against a GTS V6 Eclipse, that I have already taken 7 times, but the kid swears that he has his launch down now, and then a GT Celica, that has a shitload of stuff done to it. I raced against him over the weekend, but on a really narrow road, he out launched me, and then I was pulling on him hard, then he swerved towards my lane, so I slammed on my breaks, yelled at him for swerving, and said for him to run me some other place. So, we're going this weekend. But I've been launching at around 3800, and then just letting off the clutch completely, and then slamming down on the gas, is that the best I can do, that is the best I have found, but if there is a better method I'm willing to try it. Thanks.

You are an Idiot. There are hundreds of posts on losing weight, but you decided to make your own anyways, instead of searching. There are even write ups with pictures detailing what you can remove, and how much each part weighs. Honda-tech has a reputation for being the more mature figure in the Honda-tuning world. It is well known for hating out ricers and street racers, yet you come in here and blatently state that you intend to street race regardless of the consequences it has on yourself, your family, your neighborhood, and anyone else that you may injure/affect in you pathetic attempt to show off you slow honda.

You said you were going to take out the airbags..... that is quite possibly the stupidest idea I have ever heard. Sacrifice safety to save what, like 10 pounds?
